According to AccuRADIO, Santa not only knows when you're sleeping, he knows when you're listening to Christmas music too.

Dispatching their team of elves, the researchers at AccuRADIO wanted to know which of the 50 states had the most holiday spirit based on the hours spent listening to Christmas songs.

Surprisingly, Washington D.C. took the top spot due to the National Christmas Tree and the White House concert. The South ranked well with Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee finding spots in the Top Ten.

Researchers also determined the most popular Christmas songs in the United States which included 'Jingle Bell Rock' by Bobby Helms, 'A Holly Jolly Christmas' by Burl Ives and Bing Crosby's 'It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas' taking the title for most popular.
