Iron Bowl Weather Update
Iron Bowl Saturday Weather Update for November 30, 2019
The University of Alabama visits the University of Auburn at the Jordan-Hare Stadium for one of the biggest rivalry games, the Iron Bowl, with kick-off at 2:30 pm. At the time of this blog post, the National Weather Service is predicting for the Auburn area on Saturday, mostly sunny skies with a high near 71. Saturday night, there is a slight chance of showers, then turning to showers and a thunderstorm after midnight with a low around 60.
The timing of rain will be the biggest question for tomorrow, at this time I believe the rain will stay west of the Auburn area with a possible brief shower or two in the afternoon. However, I would be prepared to deal with rain after the game if you are traveling back to our area. For those traveling, be sure to stay weather aware because there is a marginal risk for severe weather for parts of West Alabama.
The National Weather Service has also released Iron Bowl Climate Highlights, such as the top 5 warmest, coldest, and wettest Iron Bowls. The Warmest Iron Bowl was in 1991, the coldest Iron Bowl was in 1977, and the wettest Iron Bowl was in 1983.
