Friday was as a beautiful day in West Alabama. The amply supply of sunshine did trick a lot of people. It was still pretty cold. The thoughts of warmer weather fill my mind. Just hold on; it’s on the way.

Saturday and Sunday will be nice and sunny. Saturday, the high will be around the mid-50s and Sunday in the low 60s. Doesn’t that sound wonderful?

After the week we all have had, I think we deserve some warmer temperatures. The National Weather Service Birmingham notes that “a return to quiet and more pleasant weather has begun. Though tonight will be cold, we're expecting a sunny and warmer day on Saturday. That trend will continue into Sunday as well.”

I don’t want you to get too excited, but it is shaping up that Monday we could get a high near the upper 50s, Tuesday in the low 60s, and Wednesday in the mid-60s. James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist commented on Facebook that “some spots could touch 70 degrees Wednesday afternoon.”

Reminder:

There could be minor flooding for the lower Black Warrior River basin through Monday morning.
