Tuscaloosa is truly Titletown. Over the years, we had have champions, award winners, world champions, and Olympic medalists. Locally, our high schools have developed some of the future stars of tomorrow. In particular, Hillcrest High School produced both of this week's Walter Camp National FBS Players of the Week. This award was  announced on Walter Camp Football's Twitter.

On offense, this week's winner is Alabama Crimson Tide running back Brian Robinson Jr. Robinson Jr. help the Tide to a 42-21 victory over the Ole Miss Rebels on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium. He led Bama in rushing with 36 carries gaining 171 yards scoring four touchdowns.

New Alabama offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien went to Robinson early and often throughout the game. The senior back sat out last week's game against Southern Miss with bruised ribs. He seems to be 100%. The Tide will be hoping for a repeat performance as they travel to College Station, TX to battle SEC West rival Texas A&M.

On defense, this week's winner was no other than former Ole Miss and current Kentucky linebacker Jacquez Jones. Jones made nine total tackles, one for a loss,  one QB hurry, and defended one pass in Kentucky's upset win against Florida in Lexington, KY. He helped hold Florida's offense to just 13 points.

Brian Robinson Jr. and Jacquez Jones played their high school ball at nearby Hillcrest High School. The two were teammates at Hillcrest after Jones spent a year at Tuscaloosa County High School. Robinson Jr. graduated from Hillcrest in 2017. He apart of the historic 2017 Alabama's recruiting class. As for Jones, he graduated from in 2018 joining Ole Miss immediately afterwards. He spent three seasons in Oxford before transferring to Lexington.
