Hand Sanitizer, Disinfecting Wipes in Short Supply in Alabama Following Coronavirus Fears
Have you noticed that local stores are running out of hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes? Fears over COVID-19 have caused many Alabamians to stockpile supplies in an effort to combat the spread of the virus.
al.com reports many stores in the state are running out of hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes, while other retailers haven't seen an impact on their supplies. I went to Target on 15th Street in Tuscaloosa Monday, and while I was perusing the aisles, I noticed that many shoppers were filling their carts with Lysol, Clorox wipes, and Purell.
I don't think it's time for a full-on panic, but I do plan to purchase a few bottles of hand sanitizer and a whole lot of soap, as the Center for Disease Control and Prevention recommends regular handwashing as one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.
