This past weekend, I was driving down the highway in Destin and saw Half Shell Oyster House.  I smiled with excitement, not because I planned to eat there but because I knew that one would be opening in Tuscaloosa very soon.  I just didn't know it would be this soon!

One of the latest eateries in the city has opened its doors; and from all accounts, the atmosphere is festive, and the food is delicious.

Of course seafood lovers are overjoyed, and pescatarians just got more dining options.

According to the restaurant's Facebook page, "the menu consists of fresh local oysters and seafood, steaks, monthly specials, pasta dishes and more. Mimicking a French Quarter atmosphere, the restaurant décor includes stained glass, wrought iron railings, local artist murals, exhibition-style oyster grilling bar, and period architecture and light fixtures.

Also with locations in Biloxi, Gulfport and Flowood Mississippi; Lafayette and Covington, Louisiana; Destin, Florida; Mobile and Spanish Fort, Alabama.
HAPPY HOUR: 3-6pm EVERYDAY $2 off Draft Beer, Mixed Drinks and all Wine ~ $2 Domestic and $3 Premium Bottled Beer."

In addition to providing a new menu for area diners, just a few days ago, there was a solicitation for employees.

Go ahead and add this one to your list of new restaurants to try!
