Get Your Free COVID-19 Vaccine At Stillman College In Tuscaloosa

The question of the summer could definitely be "Did you get the vaccine?" Stillman College is making it easier for you to receive your COVID-19 vaccine.

Just a few months ago, the first COVID-19 vaccines began to go out. As of May 20th, there have been 2.9 million doses of the vaccine given in Alabama,1.38 million people are fully vaccinated, and about 28% of Alabamians are fully vaccinated according to Our World in Data.

Tuesday, May 25th, Stillman College will host a free COVID-19 vaccine clinic from 8:30 am-4:30 pm in the Birthright Alumni Hall Gymnasium.

The event is conducted by the Alabama Department of Public Health. If you're wondering about the qualifications, you must be 18 years of age or older for this event. If you're worried about having to call ahead of time to schedule an appointment, no worries. You don't need an appointment to get the vaccine at this event. All you need is your driver's license.

The vaccine to be administered will be the Pfizer vaccine. This vaccine requires two doses. The first will be given at this event and the 2nd dose will be given in June.

With so much conversation about the COVID-19 not being available to certain communities, I'm glad that Stillman College is hosting this event. I'm sure there are people who are choosing not to receive the vaccine, but there are plenty of people who want to take the vaccine. Not just for themselves, but to protect their loved ones.
