Get Set For the Season Opener For Bama Swim and Dive

Everyone knows the University of Alabama as a powerhouse for football, yet there are many other sports to invest in. For instance, Alabama swimming and diving has its big season opener approaching right around the corner. This team has been working hard the past several months to kick off its season strong.

The team's first meet is taking place at home at our very own UA Aquatic Center Friday, Sept. 24^th, against Delta State. This meet starts at 2:30 p.m. CT, and is going to be worth the watch.

As many know six UA swimmers went to compete in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics this past summer. With this weekend's meet, you have the chance to watch these astonishing young athletes bring their skills and talent to their home stage. So many of these young adults bring so much to offer and contribute to the university.

For a good bit of this team, this weekend presents the first opportunity to compete for the Crimson Tide in front of an audience to cheer them on. Attendance was restricted in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There is no better feeling for an athlete than to have a crowd cheering their name.

So come out on Friday at 2:30 p.m. CT and support your fellow Crimson Tide athletes and show them the love they deserve.
