A former Mississippi State standout was found slain in Birmingham. 25-year-old De'Runnya Wilson, a wide receiver for the Bulldogs from 2013 to 2015, was found dead in a home in a home of the southside of Birmingham yesterday.

al.com reports Wilson was discovered dead in a home on Northland Avenue in Birmingham on Tuesday, January 21st. A relative then called police to the scene.

The Birmingham Police Department is currently investigating, and a statement was released via Twitter yesterday.

Wilson, an Alabama native, played basketball for Wenonah High School.
