Flashback Friday: Boyz II Men ‘Motownphilly’

This Flashback Friday Spotlight features a group of guys headed to T-Town this weekend!

Nathan Morris, Shawn Stockman, Wanya Morris make up Boyz II Men and they're ready to hit the stage at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater tomorrow night with Keith Sweat and En Vogue. If you haven't heard, there are a select number of tickets available for $20 at the amp box office!!

It all started for Boyz II Men with their 1991 debut Motown album, Cooleyhighharmony. An album produced by Michael Bivins (of Bell Biv DeVoe and New Edition fame). The first single, 'Motownphilly' also featured the rap of Michael Bivins, as it flew up to #3 on the Billboard chart! They have arrived. However, the group would end becoming more known for their ballads, instead of uptempo tracks like 'Motownphilly.' The ballads like, 'I'll Make Love To You,' are great. But, for a feel good Friday song, you can't beat this jam featuring that signature new jack swing sound big at during that time.
