The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Flash Flood Watch tomorrow, as severe storms could bring heavy rainfall to West Alabama.

Tomorrow's forecast calls for severe storms with damaging winds of up to 60 miles an hour, quarter size hail, and the possibility of tornadoes. Two to three inches of rainfall are possible. The text of the Flash Flood Watch is below:

AFTERNOON...

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of central Alabama and west
  central Alabama, including the following areas, in central
  Alabama, Autauga, Bibb, Chilton, Dallas, Lowndes, and Perry.
  In west central Alabama, Greene, Hale, Marengo, Pickens,
  Sumter, and Tuscaloosa.

* From early Thursday morning through Thursday afternoon.

* Heavy rainfall of upwards of two and a half inches of rain may
  result in localized flash flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
