Find the Best Fall Foliage on these Alabama Day Trips
We are in the last two months of 2020. Honestly, I don’t know if we should be happy or shocked. I’m going to choose joy.
November is a special time of year in Alabama. Fall brings the heavenly harvest hues of autumn. Rich oranges! Gorgeous reds! Warm browns! Cozy Yellows!
It’s time to jump in your ride and explore the fall foliage leaf-peeping road trips. They are perfect weekend outings, even amid the COVID-19 pandemic. You can totally observe social distancing.
Suppose you are trying to plan the best time for a leaf-peeping excursion. The Alabama Tourism Department offers tons of help. Click here for their rollover foliage calendar. For our area, the moderate and peak times are around November 14th. It looks like most of the Yellowhammer state is at the peak period around November 14th.
As always, be sure to call ahead to be sure the roads are open, as well as the venues.
