The 2nd annual Bacon & Brewfest will again feature unique bacon-inspired dishes from area restaurants as well as samples from local and regional breweries.

The first year was a complete success and we're proud to team with Greene Beverage again in 2015 to make this event bigger and tastier than the last!

    SweetGum Brewing Co. introduced its first beer, Standby Red Ale in the fall of 2014. Based in Starkville, Mississippi, the brewing company was founded by Ed Dechert and Cameron Fogle. Standby Red Ale is SweetGum Brewing Co.'s first beer. It's a good choice for any season or occasion that calls for a full flavored yet easy to drink beer.     Back Forty Beer Co. - Gadsden

    Gadsden based Back Forty Beer Company is now the oldest brewery in Alabama and their years of experience show in the many beers produced and enjoyed across 3 states and more. While bunking up with Lazy Magnolia Brewery in Kiln, Mississippi from 2009 till the end of 2011, their signature Naked Pig Pale Ale and best selling Truck Stop Honey were born.     Southern Tier Brewing Co. - Lakewood, NY

    Founders Phineas DeMink and Allen “Skip” Yahn started the brewery with the vision of reviving the practice of small batch brewing to a region rich in brewing tradition. In 2002, with equipment gained from the purchase of the Old Saddleback Brewing Co. in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, the Southern Tier Brewing Company began production. By 2003, select varieties of small batch ales were locally distributed. The brewery originally produced a Pilsner, Mild Ale, and India Pale Ale.     Shock Top Brewing Co. - St. Louis, MO

    Shock Top is a traditional Belgian-Style wheat ale. It was originally created in 2006 as a seasonal brew under the name Spring Heat Spiced Wheat. After collecting gold in ’06 and bronze in ’07 in the Belgian White category at the North American Beer Awards, they decided to brew year-round and switch the name to Shock Top. The brand has grown considerably in the past few years and now includes: Honeycrisp Apple Wheat, Raspberry Wheat, Lemon Shandy, Pumpkin Wheat, and Honey Bourbon Cask Wheat among others.
