Sometimes when you want something bad enough, you just have to figure out a way to get it done.  With a little creativity and hard work, that's exactly what a Florida couple is doing.

Ben and Jaimie Homan were looking for a way to raise money to adopt a baby girl from India.   And while many couples seek assistance through crowdfunding sites or by holding local fundraisers, Ben tells Babble that he and Jaimie wanted to go another route.

“We weren’t comfortable asking for money without providing anything in return,” he shares. “So, we just tried to be creative and thought selling Christmas trees could be fun, because everyone loves Christmas trees.”

They purchased 200 Christmas trees and set up shop on Thanksgiving weekend, and it's paying off.  They've sold almost all the trees and the proceeds will add up to $5,000 to $10,000.  The typical adoption can run anywhere from $30,000 to $40,000.

The Homan's have 2 biological toddlers.  They are adopting a little girl who will soon turn 1 year old, she currently lives in an orphanage in India.  They hope to bring her home early next year.
