Essential Workers Needed at UAB Medicine
The COVID-19 pandemic has genuinely affected all of us in some form or fashion. The need for essential workers has been in high demand. Essential workers range from transit workers, restaurant personnel, retail, truck drivers, the medical field, and many other lines of employment.
Essential workers play a vital role in our economy too. The University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital and outpatient facilities have openings deemed essential. The various positions for needed essential employees include “nursing, respiratory therapy, radiologic technology, and many more.” Also, “UAB Medicine is also hiring workers in environmental services, guest services, food/nutrition services, case management, and social work.”
I was excited to find out that UAB is the largest employer in the state of Alabama. That’s such great news. Reid Jones, CEO of UAB Medicine, said they are "looking for the next great employee — from the cafeteria and information desk to the lab, nursing unit, and surgical suite — who will help care for the people of Alabama.” If that is you, click here for more information on their openings at UAB Medicine.
