This is it kids, only two shows left for David Letterman. The comic legend is closing out his late night career with the most memorable guests. Monday night was no different, as Pearl Jam front man Eddie Vedder delivered an emotionally charged performance to say farewell.

It was nearly twenty years ago in 1996, when Eddie Vedder and his band Pearl Jam first hit the Late Show stage. On his final appearance, the alternative rock singer decided to go with the 1994 hit, 'Better Man.'

The song starts softly, featuring the Late Show's Paul Shaffer on piano. As the energy rises, the rest of the CBS Orchestra joins in. Vedder's guitar string breaks, and he keeps going like a champ, shouting "I love you Dave!" As it closes out, he uses the classic Pete Townsend winding windmill move on his guitar, bouncing around. Awesome stuff!

At the end, David Letterman says, "this is one we'll remember," then hugs Eddie Vedder. It was definitely that. See it again or for the first time, below.
