Druid City Brewing Company has been wowing beer and art lovers for years now with their amazing chalk drawings but this time may have outdone themselves.

Various artists over the years have chalked some fairly memorable and funny renditions of SEC coaches into art standards and album covers like Michelangelo's "The Creation of Adam" featuring Coach Bryant and Coach Saban and most recently a remake of Simon & Garfunkel's classic 'Bridge Over Troubled Waters' cover with, you guessed it, Bear and Saban.

In the most recent display, local artist Rich Marcks has depicted Coach Saban as Marvel Comics' Thanos of Titan.

Now to give you some background. The character Thanos first appeared in issue #55 of the Invincible Iron Man comic. Most recently the character has been seen on the big screen in the Guardians of the Galaxy series as well as Avengers: Age of Ultron.

In the Marvel Universe, Thanos steals what are known as Infinity Gems and inserts them into a gold glove called the Infinity Gauntlet, which can be used to freeze time or kill his victims. In Marcks' masterpiece, Thanos is replaced with Coach Saban and the Infinity Gems are replaced with National Championship rings.

I guess the message here may be that Saban and the Crimson Tide can freeze time on the football field and subsequently win the game? Whatever, get on over to Druid City Brewing Company, drink some beer and chat with the locals about this amazing drawing.

The Druid City taproom is open daily at 607 14th Street in Tuscaloosa, in front of Oz Music and behind CitiTrends.
