‘Double Dare’ Reboot Has Twitter Reliving Slime-Filled Memories
Nickelodeon just said "On your mark, get set, go!" to a Double Dare reboot, and we can't wait.
Following a 30th anniversary special in November 2016, the beloved Marc Summers-hosted game show will return to Nickelodeon some time this summer, offering "a new generation of kids the chance to compete in the messiest and most physically challenging competition of their lives," the network announced Wednesday (April 25).

Meanwhile, the original game show's host had this to say of the news:
The press release also teased that the reboot "will feature appearances from blasts from the past, long-time 'Double Dare' fans and stars from today," so it's possible Summers will appear on the revival.
Double Dare originally ran on Nickelodeon from 1986 to 1993. The show was revived briefly in 2000.
Double Dare (2018) will feature 40 episodes.
