According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, the Orlando Magic have decided to sign Bama alumnus Donta Hall to a contract that will last through the remainder of the 2021 NBA season. In 2021, he's averaged 11.5 minutes per game from only eight appearances and has grabbed 4.3 rebounds in each outing.

This will be the fourth contract signed by Hall for the shortened 2021 season which started in late December. He started out the season with the NBA's G-League "Ignite" team before being signed by the Toronto Raptors' affiliate, Raptors 905.

Hall started his first 10-day contract with the Magic after signing on April 13, 2021. He was signed to another in Orlando after his initial success, however, it wasn't renewed once the team got into May.

The Orlando Magic have struggled in 2021 and are already eliminated from the NBA playoffs with a current record of 21-46. They are currently the 13th ranked team in the Eastern Conference and have just five scheduled games left for the season.

The next opportunity to catch the Alabama alumnus on TV comes Sunday, May 9 at 7:00 PM (EST) as the Minnesota Timberwolves make the 1,500+ mile trip to Orlando. Both teams have hobbled to the end of the season and will not make the playoffs, so the likelihood of Hall getting minutes in this matchup is fairly high.
