DCH Health System Continues to Be Impacted By Ransomware Attack

DCH Health System experienced a ransomware attack yesterday, leaving three area hospitals unable to admit new patients. In an update posted last night, DCH stated that elective procedures and surgical cases scheduled for today (Wednesday, October 2) will proceed as planned. If you have another procedure or test scheduled and have not been contacted by DCH to reschedule, you will need to call before you come.

For the time being, DCH Regional Medical Center, Northport Medical Center, and Fayette Medical Center will continue to divert all patients except the most critical to other hospitals.

DCH Regional Medical Center is working with federal authorities to restore its systems.
