DCH Regional Medical Center has been given the "all clear" after a bomb threat at Tuscaloosa hospital Wednesday morning.

Officials said an unknown person called the Tuscaloosa Police Department and said there was a bomb at DCH, although they did not specify a location in the hospital.

Officers with the Tuscaloosa and Northport Police Departments investigated, and all buildings in the DCH Health System were locked down and unavailable to anyone except ER patients to enter.

The threat was cleared around 10 a.m., and normal operations resumed.

Limitations on visitors in place because of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic are still in place.
