Daylight Saving Time Ends Sunday, November 6, 2016
Don't forget to set your clocks back an hour this weekend; Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, November 6, 2016.
It's easy to remember to "fall back," right?
FOR YOU, MAYBE.
I don't know why, but I always get confused. I think it's "fall forward;" I guess my wanting the phrase to be an alliteration comes back to bite me in the you-know-what. I'm lucky that my cell automatically updates the time for me, but there was (gasp) a time before this awesome technology, and my idiocy resulted in some pretty rough mornings back in the day.
One year I ended up at my job two hours early. I was at my radio station at 3 a.m., and it was AWFUL.
I also really, really, just honestly and truly hate everything about Daylight Saving Time. It's antiquated. We don't need it any more, and it's a literal waste of time. I like gaining an hour of sleep, but at what cost?
When I leave the office Monday evening, it will be dark outside. Basically everything outside will be plunged into eternal darkness (which is fitting given that the Presidential Election is Tuesday).
I just want to say it loud and clear: I HATE DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME.
