Think about this: When Curb Your Enthusiasm returns for its 10th season next year, it will have officially outlasted Seinfeld, which ran for just nine seasons on NBC before Jerry and the crew called it quits. Curb, by contrast, has been going strong, off and on, since way back in the year 2000. (Admittedly, there are half as many Curb episodes as Seinfelds — 90 through the first nine seasons, plus a special — because HBO shows have much shorter seasons than broadcast TV). Still, two decades of Larry being awful! It’s quite an achievement.

We already knew that Curb Your Enthusiasm was returning for its tenth season some time next year. But today series co-star Jeff Garlin revealed we can expect the first episodes early in 2020: namely in January. Thank you, Jeff!

The last new Curb Your Enthusiasm episode aired on December 3, 2017, so it will have been over two years with no Larry David kvetching by the time Season 10 arrives on HBO. That’s far too long to go without hearing him tell us that things are going pretty, pretty, pretty good. Still, it’s better than nothing. Bring on the Curb.
