Redshirt senior Scott Lashley has decided to transfer to Mississippi State according to Paul Jones of 247Sports. Lashley was a reserve offensive lineman for the Alabama Crimson Tide for the last four years; he decided to enter the transfer portal last week. Lashley will be eligible to play immediately for the Bulldogs having graduated from Alabama this past December.

Lashley appeared in eight games in for Alabama in each of the last two seasons backing up Jedrick Wills. He saw 58 snaps in 2019 and 78 snaps in 2018 for the Crimson Tide. He was a four-star recruit out of West Point High School, 247sports rated him the 20th best tackle in the nation and the eight best recruit in the state of Mississippi in 2016.

Lashley returns to his home-state of Mississippi to finish his collegiate career for new Bulldogs head coach Mike Leach. Leach mentioned in his opening press conference in Starkville that the Bulldogs would use the transfer portal to supplement its roster with talent.
