I have to admit, when a dog takes a cute picture it makes me want to have them as pets lol! Back in Orlando, I had a beagle with an underbite and it added to how photogenic he was. His name is Barkley and he was adopted around the time I graduated high school. A lot of the time, adopted pets are the sweetest pets to have because they just want a loving place to call home. Every week, we team up with our friends at the Humane Society Of West Alabama to bring you a pet that could use a loving home. This week's HSWA Pet of the Week is Tyson.

Tyson is a 4-year old hound mix who loves to be the center of attention! He is 50 pounds of happy, loving dog. He may use his signature hound howl to get your attention, but he also settles down nicely in a crate or when no one is around. We have been treating him for a non-contagious form of mange that flares up when he is stressed. Thankfully, a few medicated baths and his heartworm prevention tablets have really helped his fur return to its beautiful smooth coat.

Tyson is up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, neutered, and microchipped. This sweet boy is ready for a home that will show him the love and affection he so rightly deserves.

All HSWA dogs are either at their Dog Adoption Facility or in foster homes. Please call them at 205-554-0011 or email humaneswa@yahoo.com to request an appointment to see Tyson. Their adoption fee is $75.
