Coach Bohannon Previews 2022 Alabama Baseball Season on Gary Harris Show
Baseball season is right around the corner and Alabama baseball head coach Brad Bohannon is hoping to build off last seasons success.
Alabama went 32-26 overall and 12-17 in the Southeastern Conference in the 2021 campaign. Some people believe they exceeded expectations as they made the NCAA tournament and went 1-2 in the Ruston Regional.
Alabama will kick off the 2022 season at home against the Xavier Musketeers in a three game series. Bohannon went on the Gary Harris show on Tide 100.9 to discuss the upcoming season.
"Yeah, this is by far the best team we've had since I've been here. We have a good mix of experience and legitimate talent across the board," Bohannon said.
Alabama will be tested a lot throughout the season, as they are faced with one of the hardest schedules in the country.
"It's an incredibly difficult league, I think there are four SEC teams ranked in the top five and then week two we go play Texas who is a consensus number one team in the nation," Bohannon said.
Tuscaloosa native and Junior College transfer Garrett McMillan will get the start in Friday's series opener, Antoine Jean a junior form Montreal, Canada will have the ball on Saturday, and sophomore Grayson Hitt will be on the bump for the series finale on Sunday.
