City of Tuscaloosa Asks Residents for Feedback on Local Lakes
According to a recent press release, the city of Tuscaloosa is holding a "come-and-go" feedback session to hear public concerns and new ideas for Lake Nicol and Harris Lake as part of the Elevate Tuscaloosa initiative.
The town hall-style meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 22 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and will take place at the Phelps Activity Center on Rock Quarry Drive in Tuscaloosa.
TTL, who is under contract by the city for the new project, will have representatives on-site at the feedback session to present concepts and ideas.
Mayor Walt Maddox praised the project as a benefit for local community and its travelers.
“Thanks to Elevate Tuscaloosa, we have the opportunity to expand access to Harris Lake and Lake Nicol and create upgraded spaces for locals and visitors alike to enjoy,” Maddox said.
“This process begins with a master plan envisioning the future of the lakes that will include options for updates and a proposal for phasing in improvements over time.”
