Chase Lee Earns Third Team All-American Honors
Alabama baseball relief pitcher Chase Lee earned third team All-American honors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) on Wednesday. This is the first honor for the Tide from NCBWA since 2016.
Lee made 22 appearances and finished 7-0 on the season with seven saves. He was tied sixth in the SEC in saves and ninth in wins. Through 40.2 innings pitched, Lee maintained a 1.33 ERA. Lee also leads all UA relivers with 51 strikeouts. Earlier this week, Lee was also selected to ABCA/Rawlings All-Southeast Region First Team.
Lee started on the Alabama Club Team in 2018 and quickly made a name for himself. During his junior campaign this past season, Lee had 20.1 scoreless frames and 27 scoreless innings dating back to February 2020. He also recorded 11 straight scoreless appearances.
Lee is a junior who earned his undergrad degree in aerospace engineering in May of this year.
