Celebrate Independent Bookstore Day at Ernest and Hadley Booksellers in Tuscaloosa
Saturday is Independent Booksellers Day, and you're invited to join the celebration at Tuscaloosa's own Ernest & Hadley Booksellers! Ernest & Hadley, located on 7th Street in Tuscaloosa, has an entire day of author meet-and-greets and so much more.
Come check out this charming bookstore--I know you'll fall in love with Ernest & Hadley just as I have. They're located in an old house downtown, and the store is organized in a fresh, fun way. I think it's so cool--you can walk through each room and see bookshelves of works from local authors or southern authors. There are special sections for memoirs, book club picks, and more; there's even a special room for children's books!
Check out the author meet-and-greet lineup for Independent Bookstore Day:
- 10:30 a.m. -- Susan D. Lambert with her children's book, Clarence the Clam
- 11:30 a.m. -- Author Pamela S.Wight and Illustrator Shelley A. Steinle with their children's book, Birds of Paradise
- 1:00 p.m. -- Elizabeth Findley Shores and her memoir, Earline's Pink Party: The Social Rituals and Domestic Relics of a Southern Woman
- 2:30 p.m. -- Avery Morales, author of the young adult novella, Monsters: A Dismal Awakening
