Cam Newton Is Now A Clothing Designer

al.com:  BIRMINGHAM, Alabama -- Former Auburn football standout, Heisman Trophy winner and Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has a new clothing line at Belk that will launch this month.

Johnny Belk, the company's president and chief operating officer, talked about Newton's new private label, MADE. during a visit to Birmingham this week..

The sportswear line is fashion forward, Belk said, but also affordable.

"A vast majority of our customer base will feel comfortable buying it," he said.

Belk also is launching a new private label by designer Cynthia Rowley, which will include sportswear, dresses and jewelry.

Belk's visit to Birmingham was part of the company's 125th anniversary celebration that will roll out at its stores over the next few months.

Upcoming changes for the retailer in the Birmingham area include a plan to renovate its Riverchase Galleria store so it meets the full standard of a flagship location

LL's Comment: I like when the spokesman says: "a vast majority of our customer base will feel comfortable buying it". What I want to know is, Will a vast majority of Alabama Fans feel comfortable buying it?.....Roll Tide:-)
