Brother of Clemson Star Names Crimson Tide in Top 10
Trevor Etienne, brother of Travis Etienne, former Clemson star running back, has named his top 10 schools ahead of his impending commitment, including the Crimson Tide. The 2022 4-star prospect out of Jennings, LA, is ranked as the 13th best running back in his class, per 247Sports.
Etienne, in his last two seasons, ran for 3607 yards and 53 touchdowns and was named a member of the First Team 3A All-State team as well as guiding his team to a state championship in 2019.
At 5-foot-10 200 pounds, much like his brother, Etienne has great size for a running back and shows a lot of shiftiness in his game. Also very similar to his brother, Etienne has great hands and has proven to be a solid receiving option out of the backfield, adding 257 receiving yards in his junior season.
The rising senior running back currently has offers from 23 schools, including several top programs as well as a few HBCUs. While his brother did go to Clemson, and he does list the Tigers in his top 10, many other schools seem to be in play for the four-star.
Etienne's brother, Travis, in three years at Clemson, put together a legendary stat line, rushing for 4952 yards and securing the all-time rushing record for the ACC. After an incredible collegiate career, he was drafted 25th overall to the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2021 and will likely be a big piece in the Jags offense this season.
The 2022 class for the Crimson Tide currently features two other running backs in five-star Emmanuel Henderson and fellow four-star Le'Veon Moss, meaning Etienne would have stiff competition. If he chooses Alabama; however, the 2022 class would continue shaping up even further to be, yet another, historical one for the Tide.
