One night after suffering an 18-point loss to Stanford, the Alabama Crimson Tide defeated the UNLV Running Rebels in the Camping World Maui Invitational. Alabama made 15 3-point shots in the game to pull away from the Rebels on its way to an 86-74 victory.

Alabama was led on the offensive end by John Petty III. The senior started off hot as he made three of his first four 3-point shots. He carried the Tide as he scored 22 points, with 6 assists and 4 rebounds.

Alabama's 84 points tonight is 22 points greater than the Tide's offensive output against Stanford in the opening game of the event. Six of the eight Bama players who saw action tonight drained a shot from deep.

Four of Alabama's starting five scored in double figures, in addition to Petty's 22 points Jahvon Quinerly scored 19, Herb Jones contributed 16 and Jaden Shackelford scored 13.

Alabama's exciting freshman combo guard Josh Primo splashed with an increase in minutes tonight. Primo helped the Tide by scoring 11 points and three rebounds.

Alabama will take on Providence in the fifth-place game of the Maui Invitational tomorrow at 6:15 p.m. Providence lost in the first round to Indiana but defeated Davidson to stay alive for fifth-place in the tournament.

The Crimson Tide concludes its time in Ashville, North Carolina with the game with Providence and then will go to Atlanta to take on Clemson in the Holiday Hoopsgiving event in State Farm Arena.
