Auburn Quarterback Bo Nix: “We’re Not Scared of Alabama”
Auburn junior quarterback Bo Nix was one of three quarterbacks to appear at SEC Media Days 2021. While at the podium Nix was asked about new teammate Tony Fair and the comments he made about Alabama on social media. The third year starter from Pinson Valley High School is 1-1 in his two Iron Bowls and expressed confidence facing the Tide as the game will return to Jordan Hare Stadium this season.
"Actually I like the quote I think it's important, we're not scared of Alabama I know that a lot of people want us to be scared but we're really not," said Nix.
In two matchups against Alabama, Nix was a combined 38-for-68 for 400 yards passing with one touchdown and two interceptions he's additionally rushed for 44 yards in the two games with two touchdowns.
"I'm excited and I'm happy he said that, everybody at Auburn should come in with the mindset of beating Alabama. It's important to us, it's important to me. I understand how it is beating them in 2019, we have a lot of guys on our team that's beaten them," said Nix. "Moving forward, especially this year, having it back home. Obviously it is exciting to play the Iron Bowl in Jordan-Hare stadium it's going to be one of the biggest, loudest games of the year, it always is, so we're just excited."
