Are You Enjoying The Cooler Temperatures? – Tuesday, October 8, 2019

Today, the high will be near 82 with mostly sunny skies along with a north wind at 5 mph.  Tonight, the light winds continue with a low near 61 with mostly clear skies. However, we cannot rule out the likelihood of an isolated shower.  West Alabama will stay pretty dry until Friday evening when the rain chances rise to 30%.  The next cold front will make its way to us by early Saturday morning, if not late Friday night.

Weather Headlines:

In the tropics, there are three storms that we are watching.  At this time, there are no expectations for these storms to enter into the Gulf of Mexico.

As Alabama is getting its first round of cooling temperatures, Montana, Wyoming, and South Dakota could experience a pretty decent snowstorm.  There are winter storm watches in effect for those areas.

Super Typhoon Hagibis is now the strongest storm on the planet.  It has developed so quickly into a massive storm; it was just at tropical storm strength on Sunday.  At this time, it is still tracking to make an impact on Japan.

Have a great Tuesday and enjoy the cooler weather.  @MaryKRadio
