Alabama’s Tommy Brown Speaks on NIL Deal with Rama Jama’s
Since July 1, an entire slew of Crimson Tide athletes have signed a variety of deals with various businesses and companies, ranging from Birmingham-based Milo’s Tea to Barstool Athletics. This trend continued Wednesday when redshirt junior offensive lineman Tommy Brown agreed to a partnership with Rama Jama’s. Brown announced the recent partnership on his Instagram.
“I’m excited to announce that I’ve partnered with the best breakfast spot in Tuscaloosa,” Brown wrote. “Rama Jama’s has been a landmark for all Tide fans for years! If you’re a Tide fan and have never been, it’s a must! Stop on in - they’re right next to Bryant-Denny Stadium on Paul Bryant Dr.”
The popular breakfast spot, which sits in the shadow of Bryant-Denny Stadium, has long been a beacon of Alabama love for Crimson Tide fans everywhere.
“Partnering with Rama Jama’s was an easy decision because it genuinely is one of my favorite places in Tuscaloosa. I go at least once a week, and when you’re in there you’re treated like family,” Brown said. “Another reason it is one of my favorite places in town is because of the stories that are told by the walls in that place by all the memorabilia that is in there. I’ve been here for four years and have been to Rama Jama’s countless times. Every time I go in there, I find something new that I haven’t seen before on the wall.”
This isn’t the first time an Alabama player has mentioned the walls of the famous eatery. The paintings that engulf the inside were featured on a cover of Sports Illustrated, alongside A.J. McCarron.
Due to the freshness of the new world of NIL deals, many college football fans about the process of these deals. Brown explained that the partnership with Rama Jama’s was a “no-brainer.”
“The process was quite simple really. I have been there so many times, and I’ve made relationships with the people there. Once NIL deals became a thing I discussed it with them and they were on board.”
If you have not been to Rama Jama’s, Brown has a suggestion for your first order.
“My go-to order is a number one - eggs over easy, hash browns, sausage and a biscuit. I also get two pancakes on the side. When I’m really hungry, I add a “National Championship” biscuit, too. That’s my go-to breakfast,” Brown said. “When it comes to lunch, I mix it up most of the time. A double cheeseburger with no pickles has never let me down.”
Along with his recent restaurant partnership, Brown has also signed with college athletics’ giant and newcomer Barstool Athletics.
With just over 50 days until Alabama kicks off their season against Miami, more and more members of the Crimson Tide are signing partnerships every day.
