Who doesn’t love a tax-free holiday? I know everyone looking to buy school supplies is just waiting for the chance to stock up.

Well, the 17th annual tax-free holiday in Alabama begins on July 15th, 2022, and ends on July 17th, 2022.
School supplies can add up, especially if you have more than one child attending school. So a tax-free weekend can save parents some money.
So what can you purchase during the tax-free holiday?
School supplies, school art supplies, and instructional material valued below fifty dollars.
Clothing valued under one hundred dollars.
Computers, computer software, and school computer supplies valued under seven hundred and fifty dollars.
Fiction and non-fiction books that are valued under thirty dollars.
Are you asking yourself what is not included?
Yes, there is a list of items that will still be taxable.
Newspapers, magazines, jewelry, cosmetics, hair accessories, sports equipment, sunglasses, umbrellas, wallets, smartphones, video games, desks, chairs, and other furniture is still taxable and not exempt during the tax-free holiday.
But, the main priority items for most people to attain those economically desired goods is most defiantly school supplies.
