Alabama Ranked No. 1 in 2017 Preseason Coaches Poll
For the second consecutive year, the Alabama Crimson Tide begins the season as the top-ranked team in the preseason Amway Coaches Poll.
Last year's national runner-up received 49 of the 65 first-place votes to claim the top spot in the first poll released for the 2017 college football season. Right behind the Tide was Ohio State, which received five first-place votes. And coming in third was Florida State, and that sets up a week one matchup between No. 1 and No. 3 in Atlanta.
The Big Ten had four of the top 10 teams in the poll, but the SEC led the way with six of the top 25. Alabama's schedule includes four teams in the poll (FSU, LSU, Auburn, Tennessee).
