The Crimson Tide is in full preparation mode as it looks to defend its 2020 national championship. According to BamaOnline's Charlie Potter, Alabama sophomore linebacker Jarez Parks is not listed on the online roster. Parks played in five games in 2019 and in one game in 2020.

The natural speculation is that Parks will opt to enter the transfer portal and seek a program where he can earn playing time. However the former 4-star linebacker has not yet made that decision. Parks was not on the annual "A Day" roster and did not participate in the spring game.

Last season Alabama predominantly played Will Anderson and Chris Allen at the outside linebacker position. The Crimson Tide also rosters King Mwikuta, Drew Sanders, Chris Braswell and Quandarrius Robinson and will welcome newcomers Dallas Turner and Keanu Koht into the position group for the start of the 2021 season.

Parks began playing football as a sophomore in high school and ultimately chose to come to The Capstone over Florida, Florida State, Auburn, Clemson and North Carolina.
