The Associated Press college basketball poll was released on Monday morning, and for the second week in a row the Crimson Tide men's basketball team is unranked.

This past week Alabama started the week losing to unranked Georgia. This was a shocking loss for the Tide. The Crimson Tide was heavily favored but the Bulldogs got their first SEC win of the season.

Alabama bounced back and upset the defending national champion Baylor Bears in an electric Coleman Coliseum Saturday night. Even though Alabama knocked off the number four team in the country, the AP poll still did not give the Tide enough votes to crack the top 25. Alabama is right on the verge of being ranked, receiving 97 votes this week, which puts them right behind No. 25 LSU.

Alabama has its work cut out if the Tide want to be ranked next week. They travel to Auburn to face the No. 1 team in the country Tuesday night. Then they play the newly top five ranked Kentucky Wildcats Saturday night in Tuscaloosa.

A win this week against Auburn and/or Kentucky will most likely put Alabama back into the rankings. If the Tide can keep up their giant-killer mindset and continue to play up to their competition, they will soar in the rankings and maybe even sneak into the top 10 in next week's polls.
