Alabama Artist Immortalizes Bama’s Championship Win

Art of Spanjer is collection of non-conformist pop, pulp, pencil and poetry from artist Tim Spanjer in central Alabama. 

Pop artist Tim Spanjer believes that art should boldly tell your story to the world and bold is the best way to describe his work. Whether it's a painting of candy wrappers or his iconic Bomb Pop, Spanjer's art is noticeable from afar for it's bold color and the size of most pieces.

After the Crimson Tide's win on Monday against Ohio State, Spanjer quickly got to work expressing his love for the Crimson Tide. The result is called King of the SEC and features a Bama player reaching to catch a pass. This particular work is acrylic on handmade wood canvas and measures 48" x 48" x 2". Also, notice the word "DYNASTY" written on the players glove!

His work will be shown in the Main Gallery of the Columbus Arts Council in Columbus, MS throughout the entire month of July and part of the month of August.
