Ala. Woman Charged with Murder in Apartment Fire Where Infant Died

People who don't want children should give them to someone who does!

I can't think of any particular thing that would cause me to consider stripping the future of a child.

However, that's what 31-year-old Ashley Nicole King is said to have done. Sources say the Phenix City woman is believed to have intentionally set fire to an apartment, where her four-month-old child was found with severe burns. The baby did not survive.

While no motive was given, it is important for mothers with small children to have adequate support. This is not to say that Ms. King suffered from postpartum depression, but the responsibility of a baby is great in itself. Add any other outside pressures, and it can be too much for some. I just wish those would entrust someone else with the care of their children before making traumatic decisions.
