AJ McCarron’s Girlfriend A Hit At BCS National Championship Game

Who would have thought AJ McCarron's girlfriend would create such a stir at the BCS National Championship Game in South Florida? While AJ McCarron and the Alabama Crimson Tide dominated the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame in a convincing 42-14 knockout, his girlfriend, former Miss Alabama Katherine Webb, was a star at the game as well. Early in the contest, ESPN announcers Brent Musburger and Kirk Herbstreit drew attention to her presence (see video below). This attention sparked Katherine's Twitter followers to leap from around 550 before the game to over 10,000 after her first camera shot and well over 100,000 followers by the time the game was over. The tweets poured in from all directions for the Auburn grad that first tweeted a pic over the holidays with her Alabama QB boyfriend.
