These first few days of April have been busy for former superstar quarterback, AJ McCarron.

This past Saturday, he took to Facebook to announce that he will be hosting his usual free football camp that takes place over the summer. The camp did not happen last summer due to the pandemic, but it is back for young football players to learn from the iconic player.

The camp is set to take place in Mobile, Alabama, McCarron’s hometown, at Mobile Christian School.  The set date is July 10th and will welcome 400 children ranging from the ages of 5-to-18.

Yesterday was another important day for McCarron. He took to social media to announce that another member has joined the family. Former Miss Alabama, Katherine Webb, welcomed a baby boy, Gunnar Cruz McCarron.

McCarron could be looking at a potential starting quarterback position with his current team, the Houston Texans. The Texans traded away their star wide receiver for next to nothing. J.J. Watt recently signed with the Arizona Cardinals and Deshaun Watson is refusing to be affiliated with the organization in any way.

McCarron may compete with Tyrod Taylor to become the team’s starter for the 2021 NFL season unless the Texan’s front office has other alternatives in the upcoming draft.

In his seven-year career, McCarron has started four games and has a 2-2 record.
