7 Things the Star 1017 Crew is Thankful for in 2016

It's been a crazy year for everyone here at the station, but we've got so many, many things to be thankful for in 2016!There have been tons of changes for the Star 1017 crew, but you'd better believe we're still feeling #blessed! Here's a list of the ___ things we're thankful this year.

1. Our listeners are awesome.

You know what? You rock! Yeah, you, the person reading this right now. You are awesome! We think of our listeners like an extended family--y'all are the reason we do what we do--and it's so special to know that you've invited us into your lives.

2. We got a makeover!

We changed our name in September, and it's been a non-stop whirlwind of fun since then! As Star 1017, we're psyched to bring you a bigger variety of the music you love along with LIVE and LOCAL DJ's who create special programs you won't find anywhere else.

3. Louie's back!

We brought the one and only Louie Linguini back to the Tuscaloosa airwaves last month, and it's so cool to have a radio legend on our team. Louie's always fun to be around, and the Saturday Nite Regrind is always the highlight of the weekend!

4. Tuscaloosa is just THE BEST.

We're so thankful to live and work in T-Town! Tuscaloosa is a truly special place--it's close-knit like any small town, but it's growing so quickly we can't keep pace. There's always something new to see or do--or a new place to eat--in Tuscaloosa, and we love it!

5. It's a great year to be a Bama fan.

EVERY year is a great year to be an Alabama fan, but this year keeps getting better and better! It's November, and the Tide is UNDEFEATED. They're going to the SEC Championship Game in ATL for the THIRD year in a row, and the Tide just keeps rolling!

6. We're rolling in A BRAND NEW CAR!

One of the best parts of our makeover? Our sweet new ride! We switched out our boring old van for a BRAND NEW Kia Sorrento!

7. We get to play even more of the music y'all love.

We get to start each and every day with 101 minutes of COMMERCIAL FREE music! I have a blast programming and hosting 90's at Noon each weekday, and Louie Linguini's Saturday Nite Regrind is the BEST weekend show on the air in Tuscaloosa.
