The current political climate has resurrected a new era of protest music, along with a new era of politicians using popular songs without permission — especially Donald Trump.

After Trump's campaign started blasting "Rolling In The Deep," as well as "Skyfall" at his rallies when he was the Republican candidate, Team Adele blasted them for swiping the track. And when Trump's Florida rally played "I Want It That Way," the Backstreet Boys clarified that they definitely didn't want it that way.

Aerosmith's "Dream On" soundtracked early Trump rallies, so Steven Tyler issued a cease and desist letter and wrote an op-ed about copyright protections for The Huffington Post.
