18-Wheeler Catches Fire, Snarls Traffic at Lurleen Wallace and McFarland

Flames engulfed an 18-wheeler in Northport Tuesday afternoon, snarling traffic at the intersection of Lurleen Wallace and McFarland Boulevards.

It was not immediately clear what caused the inferno or if anyone was hurt, but the blaze was extinguished by the Northport Fire & Rescue service just after 7 p.m.
