Pho Town, a restaurant specializing in Vietnamese Cuisine has opened in Midtown Village.

Annie Tran and her husband are one of three couples who have joined forces to open, own, and operate Pho Town, and they say it's the first and only restaurant in Tuscaloosa for Vietnamese Cuisine.

Tran told The Tuscaloosa News,. “We decided to team up to offer authentic noodle soup and other dishes when we found out there was no Vietnamese restaurant here in Tuscaloosa.”  She also added, “This town has a lot of diversity and a lot of people come from other places for school or work, and a lot we figure of those people are familiar with Vietnamese food, but there was none served in town. Now they can come here.”

According to the owners, the specialty at Pho Town is "Pho"— a Vietnamese dish that combines rice noodles, beef broth and various meats, toppings or sauces to make a filling, soup-like meal. But they also encourage customers to try their other signature rice noodle bowls, Banh Mi sandwiches, lotus root salad, egg rolls, spring rolls and a variety of Vietnamese soups.

Pho Town is located in Midtown Village near Longhorn Steakhouse and Old Navy. Their hours are 11:00am to 9:00pm Monday through Saturday, and 11:00am until 8:00pm on Saturday.

Personally, I'm anxious to try this place! I know I'll LOVE their noodles.......because after all, my last name is "Linguini":-)
