Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox Offers Game Day Travel Tips [VIDEO]

The University of Alabama will host Middle Tennessee State in the Crimson Tide's first home game of the season, and traffic delays are expected as thousands of fans head in to town. Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox offered tips for Tuscaloosa residents and visitors this Saturday.

The City of Tuscaloosa produced the "Mayor's Minute" video above; in it, Mayor Maddox explains the city's many road construction projects, most of which have been initiated as a result of Tuscaloosa's obtaining federal grant money for improvements in areas hit by the April 27, 2011 tornado. Mayor Maddox states that the best plan for game day is to allow plenty of extra time for travel, as traffic delays are expected throughout the weekend.
