Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox activated the city's incident command Saturday as the likelihood of Tuesday morning snow showers increases.

Incident command, when activated, brings the leadership of the area's emergency response agencies under one roof to better coordinate their communication and relief efforts.

"This decision begins our preparations in case we experience any hazardous weather conditions," Maddox Tweeted Saturday morning.
