Once again it's time to test my impeccable record of predictions. Right. Ha! Together, let's have fun picking the winners and seeing how many we get right. I'll start first.

Let me being by saying, I totally see the male Adele, aka Sam Smith having a, well, Adele type Grammy night. The breakout 22 year-old crooner has 6 nods, include nominations in each of the 4 major categories. Those being Best New Artist, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year Grammys.

Sam could very well be the first artist since the early 80s to sweep up and collect all of the trophies. It will be the first time since a guy named Christopher Cross did, thanks to the success of daydreaming song, "Sailing." I dug more into this and those who have recently come close to sweeping in my weekly Flashback Friday Spotlight blog (click here to see it).

Below is a list of the nominees in the 4 major Grammy categories, my picks are BOLD.

Best New Artist

  • Bastille
  • Iggy Azalea
  • Brandy Clark
  • Haim
  • Sam Smith

I believe it is very safe to say that Sam Smith will Best New Artist.  Then, after that anything could happen. Still, there is a really good shot at a sweep.

Song of the Year

  • “All About That Bass,” Meghan Trainor
  • “Chandelier,” Sia
  • “Shake It Off,” Taylor Swift
  • “Stay With Me,” Sam Smith
  • “Take Me to Church,” Hozier

You may think the whole thing about "Stay With Me" having similarities to the Tom Petty song "Won't Back Down" may break up the party for Sam Smith.  But, the voting was in after the whole thing came out. Besides, it doesn't appear anyone thinks less of the song because of it.

Be on the lookout for Sia.  She has a good shot at backing in to swipe the prize away. Literally, backing in.  Have you seen any of her performances?  She does so with her back to the crowd.  I'll post a video below.  I still like Sam to win.

Record of the Year
  • “Fancy,” Iggy Azalea feat. Charli XCX
  • “Chandelier,” Sia
  • “Stay With Me (Darkchild Version),” Sam Smith
  • “Shake It Off,” Taylor Swift
  • “All About That Bass,” Meghan Trainor

This will make 3 of 4 for Sam Smith.

Albums of the Year

  • Morning Phase, Beck
  • Beyoncé, Beyoncé
  • x, Ed Sheeran
  • G I R L, Pharrell
  • In the Lonely Hour, Sam Smith

I came so close to calling it a sweep for Sam Smith.  Here's the main reason I didn't, Sam Smith said that if he wins, he will give it to Beyonce.  My pick is also with Beyonce.

What do you think?  Let's see your picks in the comment section below.

Enjoy the Grammys, Sunday night at 7 p.m. on CBS42.  Stay connected with us for the winner's list, photos and overall recap of the night.

Oh, here's a sample of Sia performing with her back to the crowd.  It's another reason to watch the Grammys, the shy Sia is one of the scheduled performers.
